Dreaming Big

My building’s level of shittiness has reached a new low. I parked my car in the garage, got into the elevator, pressed all the buttons, and it went nowhere. Fine. No big deal; this happens all the time.

I walked over to my car to hit the garage door button, opened it, climbed up the driveway, and walked toward the building’s main entrance. Two girls were waiting outside the door. I tried putting my key in the door and it wouldn’t go in. Because another key had been broken in it. Thank the gods I remembered there’s a staircase in the back, otherwise those girls would’ve stayed there forever.

On at least 3 separate occasions this week, my sister has texted me something along the lines of “Mi ma es super annoying.” Each time I asked how she was being annoying, and my sister responded with “Nothing, she’s just being her usual annoying self.” My sister is very much ready to leave the house.

Life is so cruel.

I didn’t understand half of these—Nickelodeon had no presence down south and what the hell is Surge?—but there were a couple of things discovered that are devastating.

1. Apparently Trix are no longer Trix, and now resemble Kix.
2. I’m guessing Hi-C is off the market. When the hell did this happen?

The time for me to update my around-the-house clothes has finally arrived. My “tight” high school PE shorts are too loose (I’m afraid what the “loose” ones must look like) and the XXL t-shirt my then 14-year-old sister brought me from Singapore (her perspective hasn’t always been the most accurate) has just become a disgustingly unflattering burden. That and I’m constantly warm in this outfit.

And he’s embarrassed about it and is too little to know what hiccups are. Ahhhhhhhh!

Oh my god, this puppy is too damn adorable.

I cooked penna a la vodka tonight, sauce made from scratch (if you exclude that store-bought marinara sauce). I’m feeling like I’ve accomplished all that I needed to accomplish today. Now off to rest in peace with some tasty pasta.

And no, you can not object to that.
