Really, Academy? Did y’all see how life-like those apes looked in Rise of the Planet Apes? I suppose I can concede how great the 3D was, despite my general disdain for it.
I agree full-heartedly. The apes were pretty amazing. And once again, my ballot is shot to hell.

Most definitely not what I was expecting. For one, I thought Kate Winslet was in it (and am now sad she isn’t). Secondly, I thought this would be another bloody gruesome movie that just happened to have Chloe Moretz in it—after Kick Ass and Let Me In, Chloe, violence, and profanity go hand in hand. I guess we will have to wait for more promotional materials to come out before deciding whether I’m actually going to spend money on this.
